Stretch your legs this Bank Holiday Monday and take part in our family outdoor challenge, supported by Cono Sur who produce delicious organic wines. You can walk or cycle and there are different routes to suit different abilities. Plus there are family friendly challenges along the route!
You can choose which challenges you want to take part in along the way and gain points to win eco prizes, kindly donated by Travelchoice. Watch out for wildlife, have a go at archery, climb Spider Mountain, traverse the boulder wall, follow clues and solve riddles. After the challenge feel free to look round the stalls, chat with the cycling experts from Travelchoice and pick up free local walking and cycling guides, visit the bike Doctor, and enjoy a well deserved picnic and sample Cono Sur wines (for grown ups). Cono Sur vineyards are unique, with lots of bicycles resting against walls and propped up on the end of rows of vines. It’s the way workers move around the vineyards every day, in order to protect the land where they work. Take a leaf out of Cono Sur’s book and get outdoors this Bank Holiday Monday!
To take part, just turn up on the day – you can bring your own bikes or hire them. You can start the route any time from 10.30am with last entry at 1pm. Prize giving at 2pm. Bring a picnic with you! To plan your journey by foot, bike or bus, visit www.travelchoice.org.uk, or pop down to the Travelchoice Centre, Queensgate Bus Station.
