On 21st June 2010 Greeniversity let off some steam at an open evening event hosted by Railworld, the railway history and nature site nestled in the heart of Woodston. Greeniversity held a stand in the Environmental Education Centre, which is situated in a wildlife haven called the Peterborough Environmental Project, an ever-expanding natural area which is cultivated daily by the hard-working Railworld team.
In addition to the lovely landscape there are a few interesting sights to behold at Railworld, including a large rotating globe of the world and an static bicycle which displays how much electricity can be generated with pedal power. Make sure to visit when you have some spare time; it’s a lovely addition to the stunning natural backdrop of Woodston. And if you fancy a day out, why travel to Ferry Meadows in style on the steam train?
