Bee keeping, knitting and sound therapy are just three of the exciting free courses the Greeniversity has provided so far this year and now with support from the Santander Foundation, the Greeniversity plans to expand even more and provide you with more ways to share your green skills.
25 free summer courses are set to hit the calendar this summer, specifically aimed at adults with physical disabilities, mental disabilities and/or mental health problems. So far two interactive web workshops have taken place, which have provided participants with the knowledge on how to set up their own email accounts and use the Greeniversity website.
Potential courses set for the future include organised walks, cooking sessions and eco-arts and crafts and what we are looking for is teachers to provide these green skills. In order to be a Greeniversity teacher you don’t have to have to be qualified, you just need the skills, knowledge and the willingness to share your know-how. Training and support is available, should you need it and you will be granted access to our resource library which includes a laptop, projector, cooking equipment and more.
