It’s really easy to become a Greeniversity teacher.
If you have a green skill we’d love you to register as a Greeniversity teacher. Maybe you can grow veg, cook healthy meals, fix a bike puncture, make your own clothes, keep bees, lead a yoga session, or build a fire.
Becoming a Greeniversity teacher is a rewarding experience, it’s a great way to meet new people and have fun.
Greeniversity teachers are volunteers who are willing to share their know-how with other local people. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have any experience of teaching. You’ll be supported all the way and you’ll have access to our resource library where you can borrow equipment to deliver your class: lap top, projector, flip chart, camera, sewing machine, pots and pans for cooking. We’ll also help you find a suitable venue to hold your class.
Firstly sign up to the Greeniversity by completing the registration form. Once you’ve filled out the registration form you’ll receive a confirmation email to the email account you supplied.
Upload your course details to the Greeniversity website. If you have any difficulty at all uploading your course contact Ian who will be happy to help. You can also upload class materials for your course.
The Greeniversity has a team of experienced and friendly mentors to help you feel prepared and confident to share your skills with others. Your mentor will be especially assigned to you and will have been trained to a high level of expertise with the Greeniversity. Many of our mentors are also Greeniversity teachers so will be able to help you with anything you need to know about becoming a teacher and giving your class. If you need support contact Ian at ian.tennant@pect.org.uk or 01733 866437.
There are many venues in Peterborough who have kindly offered space as training venues. To book a free venue for your Greeniversity class first go to the venue section of this website and decide where you would like to hold it, then follow the simple instructions and book your venue for your course.
